Project Introduction

It’s a route game that allows children to seek certain Emojis. In the process, children need to plan the route and coding. By inviting children to place cards, teachers will encourage children to gain independence and a sense of participation. Since teachers have the initiative of placing robots, they can adjust the game difficulty to let it better suit children of different ages and levels. At the same time, it is also a situational game to improve children's emotional cognition, emotional education, and emotional counseling.

Teachers will take different emoji stickers, then ask children to identify each sticker and choose their favorite one to put on the map randomly. Teachers then need to let MatataBot face toward the sticker while keeping 2-3 squares away from it. After doing that, teachers can invite children to code with them. MatataBot can reach the sticker by placing 2-3 move forward coding blocks after pressing the start button. In this process, teachers can encourage children to actively participate in placing coding blocks through language guidance and action demonstration and let them enjoy it.

Teachers will take different facial stickers, then ask children to identify each sticker and choose their favorite one. Teachers can encourage children to say what the sticker represents.  Then let them discuss when will this emotion occur. Let children place the sticker on the map randomly, then let MatataBot face toward the sticker and place MatataBot 2-3 squares away from it. After doing that, teachers can invite children to code together with them. MatataBot can reach the sticker and achieve emoji matching by placing 2-3 forward coding blocks. If the children complete it easily and are willing to continue, teachers can adjust the position of MatataBot. Let children try to code a route by using 2-3 move forward blocks, then a turn left/right block, and finally a move forward block.

Teachers take different emoji stickers, ask children to identify and select their favorite emoji sticker. Encourage children to tell what the selected emoji sticker represents and when will this emotion occur. Let them evaluate the emotional degree of different stickers by using words such as not strong, a little strong, very strong, extremely strong, etc. Then the teachers take the same sticker and stick it on the map. After that, encourage children to use move forward, move backward, and turn left/right blocks to reach the sticker and match the emojis of the same color.
